A hopeful lament

I have lost my torch!
My torch that guided me well
That knew my treads well
My torch was handsome, light
And shone enough bright light

It was gifted by my Love,
I took it with careful vow
It grew as a part of my being
Knowing  every pulse of my being.

But alas! I’ve lost my torch,
That guided me well, gifted by my love.

Suddenly I saw a bright light
Shone by my right
I was in search of my fond possession
That guided me well, gifted by my love

I thought I got it back; I found myself excited!
I thought ‘GOD IS GREAT’! I gained my lost faith.

But?
My torch was younger, more handsome
With full of zest to light so bright
Did I see only the light?
Mistook it for my lost possession?

For, this!
Just spreads its light so bright
Guiding whoever stands by
Bringing smile on faces nearby
Shining with its bright light

Now I wish,
Let this light be always around
Let this torch be shining around
Let it shower its bright light around
The torch that reminds me my lost gift!
